SEIS 101: The Special Education Information System

Welcome to SEIS 101!

This course will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. Time estimates are given for each lesson. 

This course is intended to provide an overview of the Special Education Information System, or SEIS, for special education staff, particularly those who support students with IEPs. It will show you how to navigate the system, where and how to document the relevant information, and how to pull reports.

The course is composed of instructional videos followed by checks for understanding. Some lessons also include resources for you to download and save. We recommend you take notes as you watch the videos and keep track of any questions you may have.

Learning Objectives: After taking this course, learners will be able to: Access content and organize caesloads on SEIS; Pull historical data from SEIS; Use the SEIS tracker; Apply appropriate codes and data in services entries; Monitor and record student progress; Generate appropriate reports.
