This course is designed to support the EL Lead with their role and expectations, providing guidance on how to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate personalized instructional program in a learning environment that guides, supports, and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
The course will review how EL Leads assist school leadership with the implementation and monitoring of the school’s English language development program, and explain the importance of collaboration with other instructional staff and school personnel. It is meant to help you gain the knowledge and understanding needed to support school leadership with your school’s English Language Development program.

By the end of the course, you should be better prepared to collaborate and support staff as they support students learning English as a second (or third) language.
