Educator Foundations: Trauma-Resilient Educational Communities
Welcome to Educator Foundations: Trauma-Resilient Educational Communities!

This foundational course provides an overview of what it means to be trauma-resilient and how our organization has become a model of trauma-informed schools. Content includes ACEs and how they correlate to long-term outcomes; how trauma impacts learning and behavior; building resilience; self-care; and the TREC program. 

After completion of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Explain what ACEs are and how they correlate to long-term outcomes
  • Explain how trauma impacts learning and behavior
  • Identify key contributors to building resilience in students and staff
  • Locate resources and build routines to support self-care, build resilience, and model authentic well-being
  • Describe the fundamental characteristics of trauma-resilient educational communities, including training, accreditation, wraparound services, and resiliency programs
This course will take approximately 1 hour to complete.
