Educator Foundations: Ed Tech Essentials

Welcome to Educator Foundations: Ed Tech Essentials. This course will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete. Time estimates are provided for each lesson.

In this course, we focus on online instructional tools used in our schools. With hands-on practice in a Google Classroom environment, you’ll review and practice technical skills while learning about a variety of platforms, applications, and best practices for working with students in a distance learning or virtual environment.

Specifically, the course prepares you to:

Review tools and features available in Google Classroom
Create your own Google Classroom and add students, other teachers, and assignments to your courses
Communicate with students and make basic customizations to a Google Classroom
Explain how students use Kami to complete their work by experiencing and practicing steps provided to students
Identify digital programs available to support instruction, assessment, connection, and engagement
